PRINT | E-MAIL LOS ANGELES AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – Space Systems Command's Cross-Mission Ground & Communications Enterprise recently awarded a $48.5 million firm-fixed definitization modification contract to Palantir USG, Inc., to deliver a data and decisions platform for the Government to support national security objectives. This expands upon the previous award from Apr. 30, 2021, and brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $91.5 million. Harnessing the power of data enables our military leaders to make decisions more quickly, efficiently and with greater confidence resulting in real world mission impacts. This award provides continued capabilities for the Project Brown Heron effort under the U.S. Air Force Vice Chief of Staff’s Office, all-domain situational awareness and decision-making at NORAD / USNORTHCOM (N-NC), and the Space C2 division under ECX. The Warp Core Platform is being utilized to harvest actionable insights from large volumes of data in support of these missions. Warp Core, based on the Palantir platform, is a configurable enterprise data management and operations software solution. It enables the integration and management of data from various disparate data sources and supports application delivery, in-depth analysis, and data-driven decision-making across echelons and functional communities, including users who operate on multiple security levels across multiple networks. As the application and data landscape continue to rapidly expand in both scale and complexity, Warp Core simplifies and streamlines data management and integration, resulting in more timely and improved decision-making. Under this effort, the Department of the Air Force has been able to enhance force readiness and COVID response initiatives across the Department. Through Project Brown Heron and the Envision platform, the Air Force has been able to integrate readiness and COVID-19 related data feeds across the Defense Department, civilian agencies, and commercial sources to support unit, personnel, and training readiness. Essential health and readiness information is now at the fingertips of Air Force leadership and key personnel to inform mission-critical decisions. Warp Core also supports N-NC situational awareness and decision-making by providing a secure, live collaboration environment for tactical, operational, and strategic planning for information dominance operations. N-NC leveraged Warp Core during the Global Information Dominance Experiment (GIDE) series to support accurate data sharing and real-time situational awareness for operational execution across multiple Combatant Commands.
